The free timing app is free. Live personal tracking is an optional extra, so enquire and we will quote it for your event. If we chip time your event, participant tracking is free, and lead car and sweep vehicle tracking is quoted with the rest of your timing package.
No. The timing app works on its own. Live tracking is optional and you can add it to any event, whenever you like.
Yes, for their own position to appear on the map. Anyone running without a phone is still timed as normal and still appears in results.
Tracking sends position updates at intervals rather than running continuously, so it is far lighter on battery than a training app. Positions are saved on the phone and sent when signal returns, so a dead spot delays an update rather than losing it.
It is designed for smaller events where full chip timing is not quite cost effective. If your event grows too big for it, we offer our full professional timing services.
