Sports Timing Solutions Unveils New In House Reusable Cycle Timing Chips for Greener, Lower Cost Sportive Timing
Sports Timing Solutions has announced the launch of its newly developed reusable Cycle Timing Chips, engineered in house to deliver a greener, more cost effective timing solution for UK cycling events. Built on years of hands on experience timing cyclo sportives and mass participation rides, the new chips are designed to offer organisers a reliable, sustainable alternative to disposable timing tags.
The compact chips measuring just 25mm high × 130mm wide are built for repeat use, making them ideal for events looking to reduce waste without compromising on professional grade timing accuracy.
Each chip is pre printed and pre encoded, ensuring they arrive event ready. These are provided for FREE as part of our cycle sportive timing services. We can of course still provide our own cycle sportive number sets if needed.
Designed specifically for:
-
Cyclo Sportive Events
-
Cyclocross Events
-
Mountain Bike Events
…the new reusable chips provide a practical upgrade for organisers seeking both environmental and financial benefits.
“Disposable tags have long been the default, but they create unnecessary waste and recurring costs,” said a spokesperson for Sports Timing Solutions. “Our new reusable chips give organisers a smarter, greener option that still delivers the accuracy and reliability they expect from professional timing.”
By replacing single use tags with a returnable system, organisers can significantly cut long term costs while reducing the environmental footprint of their events. Early adopters have praised the chips for their durability, ease of use, and seamless integration into existing timing setups.
Sports Timing Solutions move toward reusable timing technology reflects a wider industry shift toward sustainability and positions the company at the forefront of eco friendly race timing innovation in the UK.
